Kate grew up on a cattle property 300km south of Alice Springs. After finishing high school Kate worked on the property for two years before moving to Alice Springs as a receptionist for a Plumbing company. Wanting to move closer to Jeremy Kate took on a role in Tennant Creek working in the butcher shop. Wanting to go back in the agriculture scene Jeremy and Kate applied with CPC at Manbulloo Station. Kate started as the Nanny and soon become the Station Secretary at Carlton Hill and Newcastle Waters.
