Kirkimbie
Kirkimbie became part of CPC in 1986.
Located in the southern Victoria River region, 230,400ha Kirkimbie is an equal mix of Flinders and Mitchell grass covered black soil plains and red spinifex country.
Better genetics and supplementation with mineral licks, to overcome dietary phosphorus deficiencies, has seen Kirkimbie revert from a steer depot to a breeding block carrying 11,000 in total. Steers leave the property at 200 kg to 220 kg liveweight for growing out at Carlton Hill and Argyle prior to export or are sent east for finishing on Queensland properties.
The 5,000 head annual turnoff are finished over the border at Carlton Hill or Argyle Stations.
