Jacqui Cannon

Chief Development Officer

Jacqui is highly regarded as one of the most experienced, senior female leaders in the Australian pastoral industry, combining her solid background in financial management with her deep agricultural credentials. Jacqui is the longest serving member of the Executive Leadership Team, helping manage CPC through periods of significant change during her 30-year tenure. ​

In her current role as Chief Development Officer, a position she has held since 2012, Jacqui oversees the company’s Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety, land tenure and ESG management. In addition, she is Group Company Secretary, leads the legal function and plays a critical role in identifying and managing potential risks to the business.​

Jacqui is a strategic thinker, with commercial acumen and very strong financial credentials. Prior to her current role she was CFO of the company for more than four years. During that time, she presided over the financial management of the business through significant change resulting in the sale to Terra Firma, and developed and managed the timing and structure of financial reporting, following the change of ownership. ​

Jacqui is a passionate advocate for the advancement of women in these industries. In 2022 she is undertaking a MPhil with the University of Queensland with a research focus on women in leadership in Australian agriculture. In 2019 she was part of the National Farmers Federation Diversity in Leadership initiative.  

Jacqui holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Marketing Management and is a qualified Justice of the Peace.​
